ABOUT RUBIO

From Seaside, California, Steve Matias Rubio was born on February 23, 2001. He is an American Rapper, Singer-Songwriter, and Producer who hails from central California. With his signature style, Rubio draws inspiration from 90's Hip-Hop, combining elements of wordplay, storytelling, and melodies. The journey of his musical career began as a freshman at Seaside High School when he was introduced to Hip-Hop at the age of 14. During class, he began to write down song lyrics and album ideas in his journal. After joining a poetry club and attending spoken word sessions, he was inspired by the art and impact music had on his life. In the years that followed, he began to release original music on his SoundCloud, including collaborative projects like "$Y$TEM$HUTDOWN," "LATENIGHTS," "HELLOFALIFE," and over 30+ songs. After graduation, he decided to pursue his music career full-time instead of attending college. One year later, he released his debut studio album, "RUBIO," on July 10th, 2020, which earned him recognition from his peers and community. In addition to these, he released two other singles, "Tick Tock" and "whatever," both of which demonstrate his new and improved abilities. As of now, he is currently recording his most anticipated album, scheduled for release in the fall of 2024.
