ABOUT RUBIO
RUBIO doesn’t just make music, he tells his story.
Born and raised in Seaside, California, RUBIO is a Latino-American rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer whose work feels less like a performance and more like a confession. With every verse, he turns memory into melody, recounting heartbreak, resilience, identity, and dreams too big to stay quiet.
His sound is rooted in the soul of 90s Hip-Hop but shaped by the intimacy of a journal and the rhythm of his culture. The honesty of Tupac. The soul of Lauryn Hill. The storytelling of Nas. It’s not just influence, it’s inheritance. His heritage bleeds into the details: from the poetry club he joined in high school to the Spanish records he grew up hearing at home. And in every song, there’s a quiet reverence for the struggle of being young, brown, and ambitious in a world that rarely makes room.
In 2020, he released his debut studio album "RUBIO," choosing the mic over college, and earning the respect of his peers and community. Since then, songs like “Tick Tock” and “Whatever” have marked an evolution in style and confidence, showing an artist no longer finding his voice, but owning it.
Now, RUBIO stands on the edge of a new chapter. His long-awaited sophomore album, "SEASIDE," dropped August 1, 2025. More than a title, it’s a return to where it all began, a love letter to the city that raised him, the pain that shaped him, and the people who still inspire him.
